End of FBoFW
Word is "For Better or For Worse" will end Aug. 31, to be followed by an appreciation from Lynn Johnston. And then reruns.
Write now to let me know what you think of reruns vs. a new strip!

New strip please!
FBoFW should be replaced by The Argyle Sweater!
I say Cul de Sac! A nicer and more real family!
I like Argyle and Cul de Sac.
What would you drop to find a place for both?
And: Should we continue the Test Center? Do you watch to see if there is something new?
Don't agree to pay the syndicate full price for FBOW when you're only getting half-new strips mixed in with half old strips. The Gazette is a business after all.
You're really short changing the readers with this new/old hybrid cartoon format Lynn Johnston.
I'd go for something new. Been following FBoFW for years, so I would probably just skip over it. I skip Peanuts for the same reason, it's old stuff. Daddy's home is ok but not as good as Adam@home. Candorville is a hoot but probably offends neo cons in CS. ps: following you on twitter also (I assume that's you).
There are several other strips I'd rather see dropped - hybrid or not, FBOFW is a unique and complex set of stories, and the comics page needs the balance between that level of strip and things like the clever-but annoying Get Fuzzy and the semi-mindlessness of F-Minus. Some of us have never seen the older FBOFW strips, so looks back are fresh, too. To those complaining about reruns, Dennis and Peanuts should be your targets.
Oh no! I'd been following Lynn Johnston's strip for years and was looking forward to going back to the beginnings of the Patterson family saga.
So, how disappointed I was to find an entirely different strip in FBoFW's position in my newspaper today. Maybe I missed it, but I never saw anything in the Gazette warning that you were droppoing the strip.
BobM. Said - I agree with Whiskers and e-said.- I feel like I lost a friend. Whatever FBoFW produces please put it in the paper. I travel to Canada a great deal and Lynn is an icon.
we have been taking the gazette for over 50 years.I learned how to read on my dad's lap reading the comics with him. droping FBoFB was the last straw we be droping the gazette. if you bring it,frank&ernest, fred bassit and garfield we might come back
I'd be excited if Lynn decided to carry on with a new strip or even focus on the younger generation of Pattersons. But starting over with some new drawings and some new dialogue just doesn't excite me.
