The link between badgers and waffles
Yeah, yeah, yeah, Cul de Sac is outta the test center. So, sue me. The more I read it, the more I enjoy it. Here's today's peek into the neighborhood. Creator Richard Thompson noted in a previous post that he commutes from room to room in his home. I'd swear somedays he's peeked into mine -- Otterloop West.

I love this strip, it should earn a permanent spot in the Gazette.
That's what I like about it. I swear that Alice is based on my 4 year old.
Not really a fan of the strip, but this installment was really funny.
pull the trigger, deena. You're the editor.
I agree with the others; Cul de Sac was original and funny, and the characters were interesting. It really deserves a second chance.
the problem with letting readers vote is that everything gets so watered down. I'd swear that If you could clear everyone's mind and introduce Calvin & Hobbes and The Far Side again, they'd get more votes against than for.
Sometimes you need to tell the people what they want. My guess is that anyone who doesn't like the magical cul de sac, doesn't get it ... and frankly I don't want to read a paper programmed by people who can't see magic.
That's your job as the editor, no?
BTW ... in th emmortal words of Ricky Gervais ... if a committee was formed to build a horse they'd make a camel.
Cul de Sac was OK. Agnes is awful. Twigs was tolerable. F Minus is, at least, different, and usually funny. Diesel Sweeties is a one-note comic with annoying art. Family Circus, BC, Peanuts, Dennis the Menace, etc. deserve to finally go to oblivion and stop torturing us with the same jokes over and over.
I agree with Billy O. about the hazards of committees, but that doesn't stop me from putting in my two cents, does it?
I LOVELOVE Cul De Sac! Very fresh and funny. I don't even remember the other comic that was being showcased with it, that's how good THAT one was. Agnes used to be funny, but it's run out of steam lately, and F Minus is kinda huh?
